Back to School!

The kids started school yesterday, Emily in Kindergarten and Andrew in 1st grade!  They are so excited about the new school year and both their teachers seem great!  Yesterday they rode the bus to school, which picks up at 6:20 in the morning!  So it was a really early first day and we were rushing out the door.  Kenneth, Jacob, and I met them at school to make sure they got where they needed to be.  Here are some shots of the first day of school drop off!

They both said they had a great day and came home in really good moods!

Today, we decided to skip the 6:20 bus ride and we slept in a little and I drove them to school.  I missed our tradition of first day photos in in front of the front door (since we left the house before the sun was up yesterday!) So I got some second day photos this morning!\

A Birthday Party

Emily decided that for her birthday this year, she wanted to have a pool party at Gramma's.  So we headed to my parent's house on Friday after her birthday for a party.  The party went on all weekend and I think Andrew and Emily spent about 20 hours in the pool over the three days!

Emily is 5!

Emily turned 5 this month!  She got to open some presents on her special day and we went to out to dinner, she chose Chuy's for dinner.  I can't believe this sweet girl is already 5 and heading off to kindergarten next month!

4th of July

We had a good time cooking out on the Fourth of July.  Jenny came over and we had planned to go out to see fireworks but stayed home instead, our neighbors ended up having a pretty good fireworks show here we could see from our backyard.  Andrew said it was "the best day ever!"

I was really hoping to get a photo of all three kids together in their red, white, and blue, but I guess Jacob doesn't like to be photographed with his siblings!
