More walking, stinky feet, and bike races

Emily is walking all over the place now, she still walks like a zombie but she is getting better every day!

And I guess Emily has stinky feet, I seem to recall another little someone with stinky feet :)

Andrew made Emily race him on his bike today.

He won every time, poor Em.

Chocolate cake and walking

Last week for my birthday, Kenneth bought me ice cream cake for us all to share.

Emily enjoyed it!  And when she was all done Andrew said "ewwww, yuck, sister needs a bath....and me bath too?!"  He loves taking baths now and sometimes will tell us that his sister needs a bath just so he can take one too.  Yesterday, he was going to take a shower and we were not going to bathe Emily, then Andrew folded his little hands and said "pleeeeaaaaase"

Emily is starting to walk a lot more.

I need to get out the video camera for that soon.  Andrew cheers her on when she walks.  She likes to wear our shoes...on her hands.  She pulled these dusty shoes out of the closet yesterday.

And Andrew is talking soooo much, like all the time, never stops!  He comes up with the funniest things, I need to be better about writing down the funny things he says so I can come back in 15 years and laugh about them.  The other day I was standing on a chair and he caught me and scolded me "uh uh mommy, don't stand on chairs, you'll fall, hit your head, it hurt, you'll need doctor".  We got a new couch for our living room and Andrew has claimed his spot.  Yesterday I sat in his spot and got scolded again, "no mommy, that's ME spot".  One of his new favorite games is to play puppy, he will put a toy in his mouth, drop it at your feet and pant like a dog, then he wants you to throw the toy for him.   No pictures of Andrew today, I will work on that!

Big News

As of today, every member of our family can walk!  Emily can only take about 5 steps but hey, it counts!

I was taking some pictures of her today and trying to get her to stand up and she just started walking!   I was wishing my camera had a video feature, but at least I have photos.   Check out the concentration on her face!

Happy 4th of July

So I am a bit late on this one, here are the pictures from the 4th.  We went to see the fireworks in Alachua, it was pretty awesome.  Really crowded, they have a big ball field where there was lots of action but we just pulled out out chairs and sat by the truck, we had a perfect view of the fireworks and didn't have to deal with the crowd.  Andrew and Emily both thought the fireworks were pretty neat.

12 month well visit

Emily saw the doctor today.  She is now 19.6 pounds (44th percentile) and 28.5"(24th percentile).  And her head is 18.6", in the 95th percentile just like her brother :) it must be all those brains!   She got 3 shots and a finger prick and screamed like crazy, poor thing.  Then she came home and slept all afternoon.

He brother was pretty upset it wasn't his turn for the doctor.  All morning he was telling me "me go doctor, no sister" even faking boo boos and telling me he needed a doctor.  But once he saw those vaccines come in the room, he was quick to offer his sister up for the shots!  While she was napping at home, he was pretty concerned about her, "where's sister? she has boo boos, she was crying"

The big ONE

Emily is one!  Where has the year gone, wasn't she just born a couple months ago?  This little girl seems to be growing up way faster than her brother did!
Emily now has her 2 top teeth bringing the total teeth count up to 4.  She climbs and crawls like a pro, can stand without holding on for just a second and has taken one or two little steps between furniture.  She says, mama, dada, bubba (brother), puppy, and doll, and lots of other almost words.  And she laughs and smiles a lot, she sure is a happy baby!

We started the day with her first pedicure, she though that was great :)

We celebrated her with LOTS of presents and some playtime.

We sang and she had cake and she smashed a piece all over the place too.

And the pictures of my big girl in the blue chair :)
