First Day of School 2015!

Both my babies are off to school this year!  Andrew is going everyday for 3 hours and Emily is going Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Andrew had his first day yesterday.  His teachers this year are Ms Martin and Ms Windsor.  He tells me that there is one kid in his class that he went to school with last year, but he was bummed his two friends aren't there.  BUT, he made a new friend on the first day, a boy named Oliver.  He tells me a lot more about school this year, he has been excited to tell me all the details of his day when I pick him up, which makes me really happy!

And I can't get over how much my sweet boy has grown up over the past year.  Here is his first day of school photo from last year next to this years...slow down kid!

Emily had her first day today!  I am a little bummed because they put her in the 2-3 year old class instead of the 3-4 year old class I thought she would be in.  Some of the kids in her class are over a full year younger than them and at the open house Tuesday night I noticed a lot of them were just really starting to talk.  She is such a smart little girl, I am worried she will get bored in there...and won't be happy about being in a class with "babies".  But her teachers, Miss Mia and Miss Courtney, seem really great and she said she had a lot of fun on her first day.

Casey Key 2015!

We went on our annual Casey Key beach vacation with my family last week!  It is one of my favorite weeks every year!  And as usual, I took tons of photos, over 815 to be exact :)  so expect to see a lot of beach pictures coming.  First up, some beach portraits and family photos!

These two, they kill me!  It is still so so hard to get these two to cooperate, stand still, and look at my camera for these photos. But I somehow end up with a lot of good ones still!

And some grandparent shots...

(my favorite grandparent shot :) )

Some Aunt Jenny shots!

Some family shots, I guess these are officially our first family photos as a family of five (yay!)

And finally a big group shot!

Training Wheels

Andrew and Emily are the very best friends, I love how much they love each other.  Andrew is such a sweet natured boy and he really makes the best big brother.

Just today, Emily couldn't decide what she wanted for lunch (decisions can be hard when you are a girl, even harder when you are three!) First she said grilled cheese, then no no turkey and cheese.  Andrew got a grilled cheese and she got her choice, turkey and cheese.  Only by that time, she had changed her mind back to grilled cheese for lunch. After she had a small meltdown, Andrew decided he would give her half of his sandwich...giving up grilled cheese, that is serious love!

They have been wanting to sleep in the same room lately, which is fine...as long as they can stop giggling long enough to fall asleep!  Last night they went to bed and when I went into check on them I found Emily half on top of Andrew with an arm over his neck.  Poor little guy looked so uncomfortable, and she looked so peaceful (and sweaty, why do my kids sweat so much?!).  I snapped a picture and showed them today, they both agreed it was hilarious.

Emily has been practicing her bike riding.  It has been so hot lately we only get out in short spurts.  A few weeks ago, she told me training wheels are for babies and insisted we take hers off.  She can ride about 10-15 feet without them, but was frustrated she couldn't get further.  So yesterday we put the training wheels back on so she could get a little more practice with them.  Lucky for her, she has a big brother who is really good at riding bikes and always willing to help to give her some pointers!

I would also just like to mention that daddy dressed Emily in this dress backwards, probably the 4th time in a row he has done this.  Even Emily told him today "Why do you keep putting this dress on backwards?!"  Fashion is so hard for dads....
