Mr. Independent

We went to feed the ducks today.  I guess we were too late for lunch but too early for dinner because the ducks wouldn't eat our bread!  We threw it all out for them anyway, maybe they will get hungry later :)

Where are they?



We saw lots of tiny baby ducks, there were 3 mommy ducks with babies.



Then we walked on the path around the pond.  Mr Independent decided he didn't need to ride in the stroller or hold mommy's hand.  He walked all the way around the path by himself (with one pit stop to play with some mulch).

More splashing

We have been spending a lot of time in the water lately :)  Friday we took Andrew by the splash park, we hadn't been there since last summer and I don't think Andrew remembered it.  His face lit up when he saw all the fountains and big kids running around!  We went late in the day so it was pretty crowded, I only took my camera out for a few quick photos.









I loaned the table that I keep my sewing machine on to Jenny for the weekend so right now my sewing machine is unplugged and on the floor.  Andrew found it and he grabbed a piece of fabric from the closet to sew.  Looks like he has been watching mommy :)

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa and a trip to the pool!

We have had a busy week! Grandma and Grandpa were up last week.

Andrew helped Grandpa with some computer work.

We got to spend St Patrick's day with they too!  That shirt Andrew is wearing is the same one he wore last year, a bit snug but it still fit!







Today we went to play with Noah at his pool.  The two of them had so much fun splashing around in the kiddie pool and hung out in the big pool too.  Then they played with Noah's toys inside a bit and Noah taught Andrew how to use a toy hammer :)

American Idol season 30 winner?

Andrew found this video game microphone in one of the baskets under the TV and was singing in it.  I am not sure who taught him this but it sure is cute!







For some reason, Andrew will really ham it up for the camera on my cell phone but won't even look at me when I have my camera or the video camera out.  Here he is singing for a pic on my cell phone.

 

And lounging on the floor.  He got down those pillows from the couch and gathered a few balls to lay with :)





He ate spaghetti last night.  He is the neatest eater.  I was really expecting pasta sauce everywhere, I even took off his shirt so I would be prepared, but he just had a little on his face.  He is even really particular about keeping all his food on his plate.  If some falls off he puts it back on, he even picks up the stuff that falls in his high chair.



He is getting better at eating with a fork, but mostly he still just holds it and uses his fingers.

New sprinkler

Andrew had so much fun in the fountain last week, I couldn't resist buying him a sprinkler for the backyard!  We picked this one and some water shoes up the other day so he could play in the backyard.



He is an excellent walker these days but he was still a bit unsure about walking around in the uneven grass.  He mostly stood in the one spot and played.

He thought it was pretty cool that the dogs were outside with him, he kept pointing at them and telling me "look!"
