Cookies for Santa and the last soccer game

Andrew and I worked hard on Friday making cookies for Santa.  Andrew really loves to help with anything around the house, but he especially likes to help out in the kitchen.  He was a really great cookie baker, he unwrapped all the butter for me, dumped measuring cups in bowls, and helped scoop chocolate chip cookies.  But he was probably most helpful for his cookie tasting :)

Saturday was Andrew's last soccer game of the season.  They lost...big time, but Andrew couldn't care less.  Not many of his teammates showed up so he got to play the whole game.  And he got a trophy!

We met Santa

I took the kids over to Aunt Jenny's neighborhood on Tuesday and Santa was there! Andrew was so excited to see him!  Emily loved him as long as he was at least three feet away :)  she was much happier sitting on Aunt Jenny's lap!

Andrew has seen wanting "a truck, a train, and a bike" from Santa for a while now.  When Santa asked him what he wanted he got real shy and said "a truck and........" and Santa thought he said a dragon..."you want a dragon for Christmas?" and Andrew said "yeah!"

They got all dressed up to go meet Santa, Andrew was upset when we were leaving because he couldn't find his belt, he thought Santa would be mad he didn't wear a nice belt.  I wanted to get a picture of them together all dressed up before we went inside, but all I got were some blurry photos of them playing in mud.

Sea World Trip

We took a trip to Sea World on Friday to see their Christmas displays.  I was looking through these photos and was thinking "woah, when did Andrew become such a little boy?" He looks so much older now, I guess that is what happens when you turn three :(

Both kids had a blast.  We got to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole to meet good ol' St Nick!  Andrew was so excited to tell him what he wanted for Christmas, he was jumping up and down in line saying "I'm going to ask for....A BIKE....A TRUCK...A TRAIN!".  Emily wanted nothing to do with him!

We also went to Antartica and saw the penguins.

Andrew and Emily both loved the Elmo show.

Andrew is now big enough to ride the little kid roller coaster, which he loves!

I thought the lights were pretty neat, and there was snow!

You might remember our Elf friend Larry who watches Andrew and Emily to make sure they are good.  He was very sick on Thursday, Andrew touched him and we thought he might have lost his magic.  But I guess Santa's elves fixed him up cause he was back Friday morning looking great!

Andrew was pretty tired by the time we left Sea World and was not on his best behavior and we reminded him that Larry might be watching.  I guess Andrew thought he had a free day on vacation becuase he was not concerned.  Well, when we woke up at the hotel Saturday morning Larry was there!  I think Andrew was a bit worried he night tell Santa about his misbehavior because he was not happy to see him.  He crossed his arms and pouted "What's hims doin' here?" Luckily, I think Santa will still be bringing Andrew his bike...or train...or truck!
