Official ground breaking, bed head, and big girl panties

Andrew has officially broken ground on the future site of our new home!

So we haven't really broken ground yet, we are still waiting on a building permit.  But we did get a well!

In other news, Emily has the best bed head I have ever seen.  She is a total, adorable mess when she wakes up.

And Andrew...well he looks just like he always does.  He is such a goofball.

Andrew is almost potty trained, he pees in the potty 95% of the time now, he can even go all by himself.  Emily is starting to show interest, but mostly she is interested in not wearing diapers ever.  She hates them as of a few days ago.  We got her some pull ups which she thinks are cool, but even better are her big girl panties, I pretty much love her chunky thighs in them :)

maybe soon I won't be spending a fortune on diapers anymore....

Driveway weather is back!

We wore shorts and tank tops today!  It is supposed to be colder and rainy this weekend but we are soaking up these sunny days while they are here, and looking forward to many many more of them soon (I even bought them swimsuits today so we are ready when the hot days get here!)

So with the warm sunny weather, Andrew wants to spend all of his time outside...all of it. I have to beg him to come inside.

He is such a gentleman, holding the door for his sister and making sure her skirt gets tucked inside :)

He even did a little yard work

And gave me a nature lesson, "the leaves fall from the trees, mom"

That is a publix sticker on his forehead, goofball.

Don't worry, she parked to make the phone call :)

Andrew made a phone call too, to the fire department when he lost his baseball "club" under the car.

Pirate invasion

Andrew has a big imagination, no make that a HUGE imagination.  Give this kid a shoe lace and it becomes a firehose, a business card becomes a train ticket, and some scraps of fabric become a pizza.  Today he was in a pirate mood.  At the playground, he was out in the ocean.  The play set was his ship and he would slide down and splash in the water and then climb back aboard and steer the ship out of danger.

Tonight, he helped to fold the laundry and then sailed out to sea again, in the basket, with first mate Emily.

I love that they love each other...most of the time :)

I think Emily could do without the hugs, she likes to snuggle and hug, but only if it is her idea.

Feeding the horses

We took Gramma to see the horses we like to feed.

Andrew loves to look at the horses, but he is still to scared to feed them.  One of the horses was greedy and broke the fence trying to get to Andrew's carrot, Andrew was shaking his finger at him and scolding him "no no, horsey!"

My fearless girl loved feeding the horses carrots and petting their noses.

We had such a good time.
