Back to School!

The kids started school yesterday, Emily in Kindergarten and Andrew in 1st grade!  They are so excited about the new school year and both their teachers seem great!  Yesterday they rode the bus to school, which picks up at 6:20 in the morning!  So it was a really early first day and we were rushing out the door.  Kenneth, Jacob, and I met them at school to make sure they got where they needed to be.  Here are some shots of the first day of school drop off!

They both said they had a great day and came home in really good moods!

Today, we decided to skip the 6:20 bus ride and we slept in a little and I drove them to school.  I missed our tradition of first day photos in in front of the front door (since we left the house before the sun was up yesterday!) So I got some second day photos this morning!\

First days of school

Andrew had his first day of kindergarten on August 15.  He is in Mrs. Tornese's class at Archer Elementary School (Mrs. Tornese is the wife of the man who did the plumbing on our new house...small world!)

Andrew was a ball of nerves before his first day.  He could hardly eat breakfast and sat quietly in the car all the way to school.  But he had a great day and was so excite to tell me all about it when I picked him up!

For his first day, he picked out his new Archer Elementary tee and brought the R2-D2 backpack he picked this year!

Emily had her first day of school today, she is going to VPK at the Academy at The Family Church.  She was so excited about her first day and talked non stop the whole way there.  I can't wait to hear all about her first day when I pick her up!

First Day of School 2015!

Both my babies are off to school this year!  Andrew is going everyday for 3 hours and Emily is going Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Andrew had his first day yesterday.  His teachers this year are Ms Martin and Ms Windsor.  He tells me that there is one kid in his class that he went to school with last year, but he was bummed his two friends aren't there.  BUT, he made a new friend on the first day, a boy named Oliver.  He tells me a lot more about school this year, he has been excited to tell me all the details of his day when I pick him up, which makes me really happy!

And I can't get over how much my sweet boy has grown up over the past year.  Here is his first day of school photo from last year next to this years...slow down kid!

Emily had her first day today!  I am a little bummed because they put her in the 2-3 year old class instead of the 3-4 year old class I thought she would be in.  Some of the kids in her class are over a full year younger than them and at the open house Tuesday night I noticed a lot of them were just really starting to talk.  She is such a smart little girl, I am worried she will get bored in there...and won't be happy about being in a class with "babies".  But her teachers, Miss Mia and Miss Courtney, seem really great and she said she had a lot of fun on her first day.

First Day of School

This morning we took Andrew and dropped him off for his first ever first day of school!  He is attending Pre-K 4 this year and will be going to school every Tuesday and Thursday morning for 4 hours.  He was so excited, he talked the whole way to school about meeting new friends.  When we got there, he could not stop jumping!  I think he is going to have a whole lot of fun there this year!
