Fourth of July

We had a really fun 4th of July this year with face paint, smoke bombs, sparklers, shrimp boil, and watching fireworks from the back yard!

4th of July

We had a good time cooking out on the Fourth of July.  Jenny came over and we had planned to go out to see fireworks but stayed home instead, our neighbors ended up having a pretty good fireworks show here we could see from our backyard.  Andrew said it was "the best day ever!"

I was really hoping to get a photo of all three kids together in their red, white, and blue, but I guess Jacob doesn't like to be photographed with his siblings!

Georgia trip day 1

We spent last week in the mountains in northern Georgia.  We stayed in a cabin outside Blue Ridge, nestled in the trees on the side of hill.  We had to take a steep gravel road and a really steep, long driveway to get there but it was beautiful!

There were some ropes outside the cabin that the kids could climb, and they climbed them a lot.  I think we got our moneys worth out of the cabin in rope climbing alone!

Our first day there we hiked Amicalola Falls.  Turns out I am not so great with directions and the 2 mile hiked ended up being more like 4 miles, oops!  Luckily, those little legs on Andrew and Emily are really great at hiking!
