8 months old!

Jacob turned 8 months old yesterday!  He is crawling now, and getting really quick!  He is having a blast getting into all of his big brother and sisters things.  Still no sign of teeth, but he is enjoying trying out all sorts of foods (including the first cookie he had to celebrate his 8 month birthday...I think he liked it!)

7 Months!

Jacob is 7 months old!  He is actually 7 months, 3 days old in these photos since we were at the beach on the 19th.  He had a weight check again today, the last one he will have to go to!  He is 15 pounds 12.2 ounces (which puts him in the 7th percentile)  and the Dr said he is growing great.  He has now mastered sitting, he can get into sitting from his belly, he scoots all over the place on his belly and he gets up on his hands and knees, he is going to take off crawling any day!  He babbles all the time and says "mama" and "dada" (but he said mama first :) )  and smiles and giggles a lot!

First days of school

Andrew had his first day of kindergarten on August 15.  He is in Mrs. Tornese's class at Archer Elementary School (Mrs. Tornese is the wife of the man who did the plumbing on our new house...small world!)

Andrew was a ball of nerves before his first day.  He could hardly eat breakfast and sat quietly in the car all the way to school.  But he had a great day and was so excite to tell me all about it when I picked him up!

For his first day, he picked out his new Archer Elementary tee and brought the R2-D2 backpack he picked this year!

Emily had her first day of school today, she is going to VPK at the Academy at The Family Church.  She was so excited about her first day and talked non stop the whole way there.  I can't wait to hear all about her first day when I pick her up!

6 months and sitting up

I am a few weeks late on this one, but here are some photos from July 19th, when Jacob turned 6 months old!  We went to the Dr. and he is exactly 14 pounds now, which is still in the 2nd percentile :)  Sweet little guy!

And about a week after he turned 6 months, he got a new skill sitting up!  He has perfected this new skill now and is working on scooting on his belly, he is getting pretty good at scooting backwards.  You can see in these photos that he is drooling quite a bit, but still no sign of teeth!

"The best game ever"

One of Emily's birthday gifts from gramma and papa was this game called PieFace.  To play the game, you spin a number, then put your face in the PieFace game and turn a crank the number of times you spun, then after so many cranks, the whip cream cover hand slaps someone in the face.  Andrew has declared that this is "the best game ever in the history of the whole world!" we laughed for hours watching these two take turns getting pie in the face!
