We made a cookie house!

Yesterday the kid's and I made a gingerbread house.  They helped by eating all the spare candy.

Andrew had been so excited all morning to make it.  While I was working he kept asking for some frosting on his finger then he would lick it off.  When I finished getting the house together, he was really bummed to see there door would't open so cookie couldn't go inside :)

Then they pushed their chair over to the sink to "help with dishes"

3 Year well visit and a trip to the firestation

Andrew saw the Dr on Friday of his check up.  Oh man, this kid loves going to the Dr!  He had his blood pressure taken for the first time at this appointment, he was pretty excited about it!
Andrew now weighs 36 pounds and is 38.15" (which is just tall enough to ride the kiddie roller coaster at Sea World! He rode it on his birthday and said "That was COOL!")  The Dr wanted to refer him to speech, this boy talks non-stop and I think his speech is great...but we will be going to a speech eval to see what they say.

Last weekend My parents and I took Andrew to see some real firemen!  He dressed up in his fireman suit and brought some bagels to the fire station.  Excited doesn't even begin to describe how he was feeling, the kid was speechless!  The firemen brought out their truck and let him sit inside and even play with the steering wheel, they showed him all their tools.  He still talks about his trip to the fire truck.

Andrew is THREE!

I don't know how it happened, but my sweet baby boy has turned a whole THREE years old.  It seems like it was just a few months ago I was headed to the hospital to meet him!  He is growing so fast and has quite the personality!

Andrew is such a fun little guy, he keeps me laughing all day long.  He loves to run and jump and make a lot of noise!

Andrew is mostly a rule follower, and a rule enforcer.  He is always scolding his sister...or his mom and dad.

He LOVES firemen, trucks, superheros, dinosaurs, and trains.  And he loves his little sister.  He is such a good brother, he loves to hug and kiss on her and lately he has been calling her "sweetheart"!

For a couple months now, when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday he would quickly respond "A dinosaur party, with dinosaur cake"  So I bought some plastic dinosaurs to make him a dinosaur cake. Then they day before his birthday I took him with me to the store to pick up some things to make his cake.  On the way in the store I asked him whose birthday was tomorrow and he told me "Andrew's! And I want a race car party!"...ummm no, sorry son.  Luckily he was thrilled with his dinosaur cake!

A parade and baby soccer week 2

Last week was UF's homecoming week.  I took the kids to the homecoming parade on Friday, we had a blast.  I was a bit worried about how the would behave, Kenneth was working so it was just me and the kids, and we had to get there 2 hours before the parade to get a good spot to sit, and Emily would be missing her nap time.  But they were angels.  We stopped and got some Chik-fil-a breakfast on the way and ate while we waited on the parade.

Then on Saturday, Andrew had his second soccer game.  Oh man, I love watching him play soccer!  This week Andrew was pretty certain he did not want to share his soccer ball.  When he got there he used it as a seat, then all of practice he held on to it so the other kids couldn't kick it.

Then he ran around waving his arms in the air during the game.

He got in a kick!

His team won!  This is pretty serious soccer with a ref and everything.  The official score was 7-2 but I did not see 9 goals scored on that field.  The other team scored one goal for our team and then Andrew's
teammate scored a goal.

I guess this is his victory dance?...
