She is 15 months!

Emily had her 15 month check up at the Dr today.  Today she is 22 pounds 7 ounces and 30.24" tall.  That is about the 65th percentile for weight and 39th for height.

She go 4 shots today and was not happy about it.  Her brother suggested we get ice cream because "sister has boo boos", good idea Andrew, I think it made her feel better :)

I think the biggest difference between 12 month old Emily and 15 month old Emily is the hair!  Her hair is getting so long.  She can wear it in pigtails now, which is adorable.

She is incredibly independent, she doesn't want mom's help with anything.  The other day at the playground she climbed the stairs to the tallest slide and went down the giant tube slide all by herself.  I think I was having heart palpitations watching her but she did great, I met her at the bottom and she was giggling.

She loves bath time with brother.

And in true girly girl fashion, she LOVES shoes.  Any shoes will do but she has really taken a liking to her brothers new rain boots.

"Horsies like sammiches"

I took the kids to the horse retirement home in High Springs yesterday.  It is a big farm for horses, a lot of them are retired police horses and then there are also a lot of rescued horses too.

On our way to the farm we stopped by the store and I told Andrew we were going to get some carrots for the horses.  He told me "no Mommy, we should get sammiches.  Horsies like sammiches".  But we got carrots anyway, and the horses loved them.

Andrew was a bit timid around the horses.  He didn't want to try feeding them "no, mommy do it"  After some coaxing, he would pet their noses while I fed them a carrot.

Emily loved the horses, that girl is fearless.  she wanted to pet them, poke them in the eyes, I am sure she would have climbed on if I let her.   Once Andrew saw his sister petting the horse, he decided maybe they weren't so bad.

The horses really wore them out and they both fell asleep on the way home and took nice long naps!

Trip to Atlanta

We went to Atlanta last weekend for our friend Jamie's wedding.  We stayed an extra day for a little Atlanta sight seeing.

We went to the Aquarium.  It was awesome.  Both kids loved it, I think Emily was just in awe the whole time.

They even had fish swimming over our heads!

They have some whale sharks there, they were amazing.  And the biggest manta rays I have ever seen.

Here we are in a tunnel next to the penguins!

And the best of the family shots... Andrew never cooperates for these :)

After the aquarium, we went to the coke factory.  It was pretty neat, we did a speed tour though because the kids were TIRED.

I liked the coke bottles moving across the ceiling.

We tried so much coke we almost made ourselves sick!  It was fun to try flavors from around the world.  Andrew's favorite was the "red one"
