Happy Easter!

On Friday, the kids and I dyed Easter eggs.  It was a bit of a disaster, I waited until the evening and by that time they were tired.  There was dye everywhere, but we still had fun (at least until Emily got kicked out for splashing dye all over the place and not listening to mommy).

On Easter I worked in the morning.  When I got home Aunt Jenny and our friend Julian came over.  Andrew opened the door to let Aunt Jenny in and we heard him say "hey, there's eggs out here!" The Easter bunny had come!  He started runninng around the front yard picking up as many eggs as he could grab.  We convinced him to come inside and find where that bunny had put his basket so he would have something to carry his eggs.  We found a basket full of goodies on the back porch.

Then we hunted eggs in the front yard.  Andrew was running like crazy grabbing all the eggs he could find.  Emily was a bit slower, it took her a few minutes to figure out what was going on :)  They both ended up with a basket full of candy.  That Easter bunny spoiled them this year!

Zoo day

We spent the day at the Jacksonville zoo yesterday and had a really good time!

That hat he is wearing, by the way, is mine. I couldn't find his so he borrowed mine, I didn't even have to sdjust the size!  Yep, my three year old and I have the same size head :)

Andrew was so excited to see all the animals and Emily practiced all of her animal sounds.

Aren't they the cuteset alligator wrestlers you have ever seen?

When we were at the Gorilla exhibit, the big silver back walked right down to the glass, he gathered a pretty big crowd.  Then he walked right passed Andrew and turned, Andrew yelled "awwwww yuck, monkey butt!"  Everyone around him got a pretty good giggle.

They played in the splash park there some.

They have a new tiger exhibit that is pretty neat.  one of the tigers was laying right next to the galss so I made Andrew sit for a picture, he was pretty scared.  But afterwards it was all he could talk about.  Those cats are HUGE!

Today we went by our new house, it looks like a house now!

Andrew and Emily think it is so fun, they are going to be bummed when they put windows in those holes :)

House update

We have walls!

We went by the house the other day and all the walls were up, it was fun to walk through and see where all the rooms will be.

Andrew kept telling me "I like this house mom!"  Good, cause you have to live here!  And he picked out his room again, he had picked out the back room when it was just the foundation but once the walls were up he said he wants the middle room now.

And I tried to get family photos again, Emily still thinks they are a terrible idea...

And a picture of my babies, just because it is so cute I can hardly stand it...They love eachother :)
