Our super weekend

We spent the past weekend at Universal.  We drove down Saturday and spent a few hours at the park, then headed to the hotel so Kenneth wouldn't miss any football :)  I took the kids to the freezing cold swimming pool.  Emily splashed on the stairs since she forgot to bring her googles, she told me she couldn't swim.  Andrew headed straight for the water slide.  I think that was his first time going down a water slide, and he must have done it 50 times into the freezing pool!  He also met some teenage girlfriends, they would slide down and ask "is that little tiny boy your son? He is just the cutest thing!"

On Sunday, we headed to the park all day.  Andrew just loves it there!  Emily gets a bit bummed when she isn't tall enough for the fast rides, she just need another inch or so and she can get on most of them.  We got to meet lots of superheros and some villains too, like Megatron.

Andrew was jumping up and down to get to meet Captain America and Spiderman.  Emily is such a Tom boy (the girly-est Tom boy I ever met) so she was pretty excited about the super heroes too.

Emily was really wanting to meet Hulk, but he wasn't there, so she got her picture with his poster instead.

Rogue sought Emily out in the crowd, she thought Emily was pretty cute.  They talked for a while, Rogue asked Emily if she is a princess and she responded "NO!"  Emily told her all about her Jessie Halloween costume and her boots and hat.  Then they met up again about an hour later and chatted some more!

Andrew and Kenneth went on the Spiderman ride and Emily and I had to sit off because they won't let girls under 40" or pregnant ladies on :( Emily decided she needed some Dippin dots and I told her she had to wait until her dad got off the ride with all of our money.  She is really not very good at waiting.  So, she decided she wanted to meet Cyclops...then she asked him for money!  After introducing herself and telling him where she was from, she said "my dad took my brother on a ride and my mom doesn't have any money and I really want some dippin dots!"  It didn't work out like she had hoped, but we all got a good laugh!

After the long drive home, the kids did some coloring on the dining room table, they think they do their best work sitting ON the table ;)

Funny things they say

These two keep me giggling all day!  I always try to make a note when they say funny things so I can remember them when they grow up :)  Here are some of the funny things they have been telling me lately

The other day Andrew was playing with a toy T-Rex and he told me...
"Mom, I am kind of scared of dinosaurs.  Are dinosaurs like this alive?"
"No, Andrew, dinosaurs are extinct"
"They are NOT stinky mom!"
"Not stinky...extinct"
"Why are you calling dinosaurs such mean names, mom?"
"I am not calling them names, extinct means they don't live anymore"
"Oh........so they are all dead!"

Emily, she really is 2 going on 16 I think.  She is so full of attitude sometimes.  Both Andrew and Emily usually have really good manners, always say please and thank you, but sometimes Emily just doesn't want to.  The other day she climbed up in a bar stool in the kitchen, crossed her arms and said.
"Dad, get me some chocolate milk!"
"Can you say please?"
"........yeah..........."
"Are you going to?"
"Nope!"

Sometimes, their interactions with each other make me giggle the most.  Several weeks ago, they were sitting at the dining room table.  Emily started screaming because her brother was looking at her, "He is LOOKING at ME!!!!!"  to which Andrew replied "Sister, I am just looking at you because you are so beautiful"  HA!  She didn't even know how to respond, but she quit screaming!

Em totally turned that one around on him though.  A few days after that, we were getting in the car and Andrew was upset about something and was fussing.  Emily was looking at him because he was crying and that upset him even more, "Quit looking at me!!!!"  She quickly responded with "I am just looking at you because you are so handsome!"

Back to my 16 year old daughter.... We were in the store the other day and she saw some sparkly pink jelly shoes.  She ran over and grabbed some "OH Mommy! I NEED these shoes!"  She sat on the floor, pulled off her shoes and socks and started trying on the jellies.  Emily loves shoes, but she would hate jellies.  They are pink and sparkly, which is just her style, but she hates when she gets dirt in her shoes or when her feet sweat, so she would hate jellies.  I told her "Emily, we are not going to buy those shoes today".  Her response..."OH mommy, I will DIE! I will just DIE if I don't get these shoes!!"  We didn't get the shoes, and she is still alive today.

Sweet, Silly Emily

I have done posts in the past about Andrew and the silly stuff he does and says, but I have never written one about Emily.  I wanted to do one now, before I forget all the sweet, silly, and funny things Emily does.

This girl is so sweet and SO nutty! She talks non stop...really non stop, all day long and into the night.  You really have to watch what you say around this one because she WILL be repeating everything!  Kenneth takes advantage of that and now when you ask her "what are we going to do today?" she says "try to take over the world" and then gives you her best evil laugh :)

She is possibly a bit too smart for her own good.  Andrew has started school, which means she gets some alone time with mommy or daddy while he is at school.  Yesterday Kenneth asked her what she wanted to do while brother was at school and she said "go to Target and get me lots of new toys...Mommy said it was OK"

This girl LOVES Target.  Strangers always get a kick out of her in the store because her favorite sections are the shoes and handbags, I may not be able to afford this girl in a few years!  The other day she fell asleep on our way to her favorite store, I slipped her in the shopping cart and she slept the whole time we were there, it was probably the best Target trip I have had in 2 years ;)  She woke up as we were leaving and she was SO mad she had missed it!

She is so smart, but sometimes a bit forgetful.  Take a look at this picture and notice the GIANT cup in her hand (also notice that pirate costume she insisted on wearing do dinner :) )....

We were out to eat at a restaurant and she was drinking from that giant cup.  She had it tucked in her arm just like she does in that photo when she looked around and got an angry look on her face.  Then she yelled "HEY, somebody stole my chocolate milk, somebody stole my chocolate milk!"  I pointed to the giant cup in her arm and she smile "Oh, it's right there!"

In addition to talking non stop, this girl also moves non stop.  She climbs on everything, jumps on her bed, on the couch, off the couch...We got her a new bed with a foot board and she quickly learned that she can climb up onto the foot board and do a flip off of it landing on her bed.  She will be getting signed up for gymnastics in the near future!  She also has some rockin' dance moves :)

Emily has a sweet tooth like her mommy, she will do anything for candy!  And not only is she silly and smart, she is also just sweet as can be.  The other day she woke up before her daddy, she climbed in his bed and gave him a kiss to wake him up and said "you need a princess to wake you up, Daddy?"

She has started calling me "little Mommy", I have no idea where she got that but it cracks me up!  When I get home from work I always get a huge hug from her and she tells me "me luv you wittle mommy" I melt every time!

We got back from our trip to Casey Key last week and Emily is officially potty trained! She likes to meet her big milestones at the beach I guess, last year she was a full time walker after our beach trip and this year she is a full time pantie wearer!

I just can't get enough of this sweet girl!
