The kids helped me carve a pumpkin last Tuesday. It is a good thing we weren't in town for Halloween because these jack-o-lanterns did not survive to see Halloween day, they were all moldy and got tossed before we left town on Friday. But they were so fun to carve! Both kids were really excited about carving the pumpkins this year. I cut them open and had them dig out the seeds, Emily dug right in, Andrew was not too excited about touching the gooey pumpkin insides but he slowly plucked out some seeds. They both told me they wanted a vampire pumpkin so the big pumpkin got carves with pointy vampire teeth. They had disappeared on their bikes by the time I started carving the little pumpkin so I came up with that design, when they came back I was told that "they were supposed to both be vampires, not one vampire and one silly chipmunk"...oh well, next year maybe they will stick around!

On Halloween, we drove up to Milton for a Halloween party. They had a bounce house which is where the kids spent pretty much the whole night, even in the rain. They left with huge bags of candy and soaking wet costumes!
