Time for some check ups

Emily was officially two and a half on the 6th, so today we went to see the Dr for her check up.  The Dr said she is doing great, but I already knew she was perfect :)  Today she was 30 pounds 3.3 ounces (in the 68th percentile for her age) and exactly 3 feet tall (64th percentile)

I think this is Em's new signature hair style, she has worn 2 braids in her hair all week!

I thought taking pictures of my kids was hard, turns out it is way harder to take a nice picture of my dog!

And speaking of check ups, Andrew had one last month when he turned four that I never wrote about!  These stats are probably out of date now because he grows like a weed!  But, last month on December 12, Andrew was 46 pounds 8.3 ounces (97th percentile) and he was 3'6" tall (87th percentile).  He, of course, is also perfect, but the Dr was a bit concerned that his speech isn't where it should be.

T-Ball

Andrew had his first T-ball game today. He has come such a long way since he played soccer last year.  Last year, he didn't really understand soccer, but he had a lot of fun chasing the other kids with the ball.  Today, after a few minutes of practice, he had this T-ball thing figured out!

They don't keep score in 4 year old T-ball, each player takes a turn hitting the ball off the tee and running the bases while the other team stands in the field and tries to catch the ball, then they switch.  They do that for 30 minutes.

Andrew's friend Noah is on his team again, his friend Charlie is playing too.  Andrew was so excited to be playing ball...check out his serious game face.

He was running the bases so fast I couldn't even get his picture!

And hustling after the ball...

Emily, poor thing, she was freezing and was NOT happy about it!

During his teams second turn fielding the ball, Andrew caught the ball and threw it to first base. He was so proud!

More Christmas fun

We put our tree up early this year, back in November.  I couldn't wait to get out our decorations in our new house.  Between the four of us, only 4 ornaments were broken (2 broken by me :) )

We went to see some lights with Aunt Jenny.

We mad a gingerbread house...that almost got thrown in the trash before it even finished, those darn walls kept falling down!

Our friend Larry came to visit us again.  Emily was not a fan at first, he showed up in Andrew's room one day and she said "He better not go in my room!"  then he got in her stocking the next day, she was not happy!  "That's MY stocking, he needs to get his own stocking!"  And the next day we found him sewing up his own stocking.

He brought a sign for Andrew's birthday.

Got some PJs that matched the kid's.

and took up painting.

Christmas 2014

We had a great Christmas!  I don't have many pictures of Christmas, I mostly took video of opening presents.  I have a few pictures of these two nuts before bed Christmas Eve...

Our tree in the morning after Santa came!

These kids must have been really good this year, they got everything they asked for and more! They both got the roller skates they had asked Santa for, and a set of knee pads.  Andrew got a new Ninja Turtles bike and Emily got a mini trampoline.

A 2 year old and a 4 year old on roller skates for the first time is pretty hilarious.  But they are both quick learners.  We had our garage all clean the day after Christmas and Andrew got some good skating practice in there.  He found my roller blades in the garage and asked "mommy will you roller skate with me?" How do you say no to that?!  So, I made him promise not to laugh at me when I fell down and we both skated around the garage.  The other day, I took both of them to a roller skate rink at a park close by.  They are getting pretty good, Emily might join a roller derby team soon :)
