A parade and baby soccer week 2

Last week was UF's homecoming week.  I took the kids to the homecoming parade on Friday, we had a blast.  I was a bit worried about how the would behave, Kenneth was working so it was just me and the kids, and we had to get there 2 hours before the parade to get a good spot to sit, and Emily would be missing her nap time.  But they were angels.  We stopped and got some Chik-fil-a breakfast on the way and ate while we waited on the parade.

Then on Saturday, Andrew had his second soccer game.  Oh man, I love watching him play soccer!  This week Andrew was pretty certain he did not want to share his soccer ball.  When he got there he used it as a seat, then all of practice he held on to it so the other kids couldn't kick it.

Then he ran around waving his arms in the air during the game.

He got in a kick!

His team won!  This is pretty serious soccer with a ref and everything.  The official score was 7-2 but I did not see 9 goals scored on that field.  The other team scored one goal for our team and then Andrew's
teammate scored a goal.

I guess this is his victory dance?...

Carving Pumpkins

The kids were so excited about their pumpkins this year!  Andrew helped me pick them out at and was so excited about carving them.

They were both really interested until they realized how slimy those pumpkin seeds are, then they split and left me to carve alone.

Andrew requested a "scary one", I think he was pretty happy with the end result..."oh, good job mommy" :)

Soccer star

We signed Andrew up for soccer. It is 7 weeks, most Saturdays for an hour.  Today was his first practice/game.

He is on a team of ten 3 year olds.  His friend Noah is on his team and Noah's dad is his coach.

It was pretty fun watching them practice some soccer drills, then they played a game against another team.  At first we had trouble keeping Andrew on the field, he ran across the field and just kept going.  All the kids run in a pack after the ball, Andrew followed the pack around but didn't get much kicking action in, I think he kicked the ball once.

Then they all get stickers after the game.
