Beach vacation (part 2)

We headed to Casey Key on Monday, after loading up what seemed like 2 months worth of stuff in the truck and dropping Shelby off at the boarders.  Andrew could not wait to get on the beach, Emily was pretty happy hanging out on the porch.

The first two days the waves were pretty rough so poor Andrew couldn't swim, but the last two days there were no waves at all which made up for it.

Andrew and Kenneth tried swimming in the waves.  Andrew would get knocked over by the waves and fall face first in the sandy water but get right back up and try again!  The first day there he fell and lost his shovels in the sand, Aunt Jenny and I had to chase them down in the waves.

He loved walking on the beach.  Poor little guy got a rash on his thighs from his wet suit and diaper on the first day there, it only got worse everyday.  We battled it all week with bandages, powders and creams. His legs are still red and sore today.

Emily even got out on the beach some sporting her suit and matching sun hat.  She wasn't crazy about the strong winds on the first days there but I thinks she liked the sound of the ocean.  She took several naps on the beach.

Wednesday we went to the Mote Aquarium in Sarasota.  It was really fun and we learned a lot about sea turtles.

Aunt Jenny helped Andrew touch a stingray!

We learned that Aunt Jenny is just slightly taller than a baby manatee:)

More beach vacation action coming in part 3!

Beach vacation (part one)

We spent the past week at the beach with my family. I took hundreds of photos and haven't even gotten them all on my computer yet, so I am blogging them in installments.  First installment is the portraits I took, we took some family photos which was fun.

And I took some portraits of my babies, I am pretty sure they are the cutest babies ever!

I didn't get quite as many of baby Emily, I have a few more still on my camera.  She decided she would pick her head up, I told her she is too young for that!  She is growing up too fast!

Back at the zoo

We headed back to the zoo in Tampa again yesterday to use our other tickets.  And we bought annual passes so we can go even more!

Grandma and Grandpa met us there!

Emily was not impressed with the safari ride...

but Andrew was!

Andrew was such a big help with pushing the stroller :)

And he found the splash pad.  I didn't think we would ever get him out!

This fountain surprised him and he got a nose full!

This alligator was his favorite...

He brushed and fed the goats.

And Emily snuggled with Grandma.

They have a little bird house where you can feed the birds and the fly all over the place.  Andrew thought he would pick one up...

Bad idea...

They were so exhausted when we left for home and looked so cute snuggled under a blanket in their car seats!
