We headed to Casey Key on Monday, after loading up what seemed like 2 months worth of stuff in the truck and dropping Shelby off at the boarders. Andrew could not wait to get on the beach, Emily was pretty happy hanging out on the porch.

The first two days the waves were pretty rough so poor Andrew couldn't swim, but the last two days there were no waves at all which made up for it.
Andrew and Kenneth tried swimming in the waves. Andrew would get knocked over by the waves and fall face first in the sandy water but get right back up and try again! The first day there he fell and lost his shovels in the sand, Aunt Jenny and I had to chase them down in the waves.
He loved walking on the beach. Poor little guy got a rash on his thighs from his wet suit and diaper on the first day there, it only got worse everyday. We battled it all week with bandages, powders and creams. His legs are still red and sore today.
Emily even got out on the beach some sporting her suit and matching sun hat. She wasn't crazy about the strong winds on the first days there but I thinks she liked the sound of the ocean. She took several naps on the beach.
Wednesday we went to the Mote Aquarium in Sarasota. It was really fun and we learned a lot about sea turtles.

Aunt Jenny helped Andrew touch a stingray!
We learned that Aunt Jenny is just slightly taller than a baby manatee:)
More beach vacation action coming in part 3!
