Splash park with Aunt Jenny!

We went to the splash park today, Aunt Jenny came too!



I brought my new camera lens I got for mothers day, it was nice because it zooms a bit more than my other one so I could sit in the grass and take Andrews picture.







He liked playing with the big boys :)



He met a girl, she was perfect for him, I think she had about as much attitude as Andrew!





Andrew actually spent some time with us while we were there (usually he runs around and acts like I'm not there).  Today he came over several times to show us toys and even came over and sat down with us once.  It must have been because Aunt Jenny was there!

He also drank the water, silly boy :)

Bedtime story

The other day after Andrew got in his jammies on he grabbed a book from the book shelf in his room to "read" to daddy and me.









He loves books these days, he brings us books all day long to read to him.  Daddy has been reading him books before bed, the just finished Charlotte's Web and have started on The Lightning Thief.  

And a bath picture just cause he's cute :)

QUACK QUACK

Andrew has been learning what sounds animals make, his favorite by far is quack!  He walks around the house sometimes saying quack quack, and if you ask him what a dog or cow says his answer is "woof woof, QUACK QUACK" or "moo moo, QUACK QUACK"

Today we went to see the ducks again, here he is practicing his quack quacks in the car :)

He was so excited when we got there he was squealing, dancing, and quacking.  we fed the ducks then he led me on a walk around the pond.

In this video, he had fallen down (probably because he insisted on wearing his flip flops despite my strongly suggesting sneakers would be better!) you can tell he is not happy about sitting in the wet mulch but didn't want to get his hands dirty to stand up :)

He also chased some ducks, this video is in 2 parts because I thought I he was going to follow the duck into the bushes so I stopped it so I could chase after him, but he was just looking.

We are still here!

It has been a while since I updated.  We have been busy!  This weekend Kenneth's brother came to help us do our yard work and clean out our garage!  We also got the house painted.  I have hardly even picked up my camera in the past week!

But I took some pictures yesterday...

peek a boo!





This is Andrew showing me where his baby sister is.  That big blurry thing is my belly :)  I am pretty sure he thinks my belly button is his little sister, but so far he likes her!





And last night he had some popcorn before bed, this kid LOVES popcorn!

Bunny pants

Like Andrew's pants?

This outfit is over 50 years old, my dad wore it when he was little!  I think he was just a few months older than Andrew in these pictures.

Yesterday Andrew was in his room playing with his old toys when I heard him fuss.  I went back there and he had climbed into the baby walker and couldn't get out.  He was not so happy about it!

After trying out the baby walker, he tested his old baby bath tub.  Silly kid, he doesn't fit in there as well as he used to :)

Here he is in the tub for his first bath at 7 days old!

He has pretty much mastered climbing onto all of our furniture, even the swivel chair in the office!

Another splash park day

Andrew and I got up this morning and met Jenny for breakfast.  After breakfast, we met up with Noah at the splash park.  Andrew could hang out there all day! He doesn't spend much time with me when he is there, he is so independent, walking around the fountains and checking out the other kids.  Every once in a while he will come hand me a toy he doesn't want to play with anymore, then he is off again.

All those big water fountains and Andrew was fascinated by the water fountain.  He played in that for about 10 minutes before I redirected him back to all the fun!

Also, check out the shiner he got over his eye yesterday when he fell off the dining room chair.  He screamed for a bit but then went right back to the chair!

Little sister's check up

I went to the doctor this morning and Andrew tagged along.  We got to listen to little sister's heartbeat and the Dr. measured my belly.  Her heart was beating about 133 beats per minute and she is measuring right on track. Doc said everything looks great!  I can't believe that she will be here in less than 8 weeks!

After the doctor, we stopped by the smoothie place.  Andrew had just finished a bottle and a big cup of goldfish crackers while we were at the doctor so I didn't think he would finish a whole kids smoothie.  Instead I figured we could just share.  Well I was wrong, Andrew swiped my smoothie and drank almost all of it, he was not interested in sharing with me at all.  I guess next time we will each get our own smoothies :)

He was pretty exhausted by the time we got home (and probably full from all that smoothie) but he would not let me rock him to sleep for his nap.  I put him in his crib and as soon as I left the room he stood up and turned the lights on.  I guess that made it too bright in there because he grabbed his blanket and covered his face before he fell asleep.  I sneaked in a bit later to take some pictures of him sleeping, I hadn't taken any sleeping baby pictures in a while...
