We had to get there at 7:30 this morning, after a lot of waiting, looking at fish and playing with trucks, we went back to get ready. He changed into a hospital gown and drank some nasty medicine.

The medicine first made him loopy.

Then really sleepy.

Then they took him back and Kenneth and I were sent back to the waiting room. The surgery took about an hour an a half (but felt like 3 days) then they called us back. I sat in a recliner and they put my sleepy boy in my arms. Everything went well and he has to wear a cast for the next 10 days to protect his incision. When he started waking up he saw his cast and said "a friend!". After a little bit we got to head home (but Andrew was sure to ask the nurse for some ice cream before leaving) and we have had an afternoon of snuggling on the couch watching Caillou on TV.

Oh, gosh! The poor guy! It might just be hereditary--I also have a trigger thumb on my left hand. I never had it fixed, though, so now I just get to freak people out when I pop it out of place.
