Play Ball!

Andrew is playing t-ball this spring and he had his first game this week.  He has wanted to play t-ball for a while and I had been putting off signing him up, I actually planned to sign him up last spring but when I finally got around to doing it they were full...he was so mad at me!  I didn't miss sign ups this year!

He is so excited about playing!  It is fun to watch him wiggle and dance around out in the outfield.  His game was scheduled for Monday, Sunday night he got out his new jersey and had it folded at the foot of his bed.  Unfortunately, his game got rained out and rescheduled for Tuesday.  But he had his jersey ready to go for Tuesdays game!  And when he got off the bus (at 2:00) he threw on his jersy for his 6:00 game and ran out back to practice hitting the ball off the tee :)

He is still figuring out the rules of baseball (which he still sometimes calls football).  After his first practice he said "So mom, after I hit the ball off the tee, I run around that rhombus?"  I told him "that is the baseball diamond, bud, they call it a diamond" He said, "oh.....well, it looks like a rhombus" :)

Tuesday night he looked pretty good out on that rhombus!

First Hair Cut

Jacob got a hair cut!  It was time.  He has really fine hair and it was getting pretty long, it would hang down in his eyes and the back would get all matted in his car seat.  Plus strangers kept calling him princess :)

And some immediately after...he was NOT a fan of getting his hair cut.  I kept it a little long on the top and trimed it up quite a bit in the back and on the sides, no more matted hair!

Brothers

It is fun to watch the sibling relationships develop with these kids.  Both Andrew and Emily adore Jacob, and he is all smiles and giggles when they are around.  Andrew is such a great big brother and has been teaching Jacob lots of important life lessons, like...making silly faces, wrestling, and playing ball!

I have been debating on a hair cut for Jacob.  I just love his hair, but it is getting so long it is almost hanging in his eyes all the time.  Plus every where we go strangers tell me what a beautiful baby girl he is :D  Maybe it is time....

Ballerina

Emily has been asking to do ballet for a while.  I have been putting it off because she has been loving gymnastics and is getting pretty good at it and I didn't want to overwhelm us (mostly me) with too many activities.  But I caved and she started ballet in December, she loves it.  I have to sit outside and watch her through the window so it is hard to get photos of her in action, but I made her pose for some after her ballet classes the last 2 weeks!

She has been practicing her jetes and plies and arabesques, they started working on some choreography for her dance recital (which I think is in June) today.
