Brothers

It is fun to watch the sibling relationships develop with these kids.  Both Andrew and Emily adore Jacob, and he is all smiles and giggles when they are around.  Andrew is such a great big brother and has been teaching Jacob lots of important life lessons, like...making silly faces, wrestling, and playing ball!

I have been debating on a hair cut for Jacob.  I just love his hair, but it is getting so long it is almost hanging in his eyes all the time.  Plus every where we go strangers tell me what a beautiful baby girl he is :D  Maybe it is time....

Ballerina

Emily has been asking to do ballet for a while.  I have been putting it off because she has been loving gymnastics and is getting pretty good at it and I didn't want to overwhelm us (mostly me) with too many activities.  But I caved and she started ballet in December, she loves it.  I have to sit outside and watch her through the window so it is hard to get photos of her in action, but I made her pose for some after her ballet classes the last 2 weeks!

She has been practicing her jetes and plies and arabesques, they started working on some choreography for her dance recital (which I think is in June) today.

This girl has some killer moves :D

Jacob is ONE!

Jacob turned one a couple weeks ago, and he is by far the cuteset one year I have seen in about 3.5 years! :)  He had a really great birthday!  I took some pictures of him to celebrate and he got to eat cake, then that night his siblings helped him open presents and he ate more cake, what more could a baby want?!

At one year old Jacob is a little chatterbox, mostly just babbling, but he has several words he is starting to say, and he loves to scream like a pterodactyl.  He stands and cruises along the furniture, but I think it will still be a couple more months before he takes his first steps.  He saw the doctor today and he is 19.5 pounds and 28.5" tall.

(what a differnce a year makes...here he is at 1 month!)
