One day last week I was in the kitchen doing dishes and the kids were in the living room. Then they disappeared into their room to play. I only half trust them to play unsupervised, but there was a lot of giggling going on so I knew they were both OK...just up to no good.
When I went back to check on them I found Andrew had emptied out all of the stuffed animals from their zoo and was standing inside it.
I didn't see Emily anywhere so I asked Andrew "where is your sister?" He giggled and said "down there" pointing to the floor. There she was, covered in a pile of animals on the floor :)
Last night I had another case of the missing Emily. The kids are now sleeping in the same room, which is a bit of a disaster. They stay up til all hours of the night giggling. Emily's bed is close to the door and she will get up and lock the door and turn on the lights so she can play (I really need to take that lock off!)
Last night was no different, lots of giggling and playing. I went in and turned off the night light because sometimes that helps them settle. About 15 minutes later they were finally quiet. Before I went in to check on them. Emily was not in her bed, sometimes she climbs in bed with her brother so I peeked in his bed. There was only kid there, it was dark so I couldn't really see but that one had to be Andrew because he never climbs out of bed at night. So where the heck is Emily?! I turned on the night light and realized the kid in Andrew's bed was Emily...and she was asleep on top of Andrew!
