Today is Andrew's half Birthday, he is two and a half! We celebrated with a trip to the doctor! (Not his favorite way to celebrate anything) He is 36.5" and 32.2 pounds. He has a wonky thumb that won't straighten all the way and the doctor referred us to a specialist to take a look at it, he may need a tendon release. Other then that he is perfect!
He is getting so smart and talks non stop now! He comes up with the funniest stuff! His favorite show is Dinosaur Train and he LOVES cars and trains. He also loves to play outside and help mom and dad.
Here are the traditional blue chair photos!
This is him showing me 2 on his fingers, needs a little work!
We had a stomach bug go through our house. Poor Andrew had the worst of it, he felt pretty miserable for a few days.
Emily is trying to walk these days. One day she started walking holding onto our hands and then it seems like the very next day she was pushing her walker. She loves it, she smiles and giggles the whole time!
She also has decided the splash park is pretty cool, the first 2 times we went she screamed.
I have been doing a lot of sewing, I tested a pattern for another blogger who is going to be releasing some new sewing patterns soon. Here is my little model in the dress I made.
We went to the splash park this morning, only our second trip there this year. Emily was not a fan of the fountains, but she did enjoy hanging out in the sun.
Last week Andrew helped me pick out some flowers. I was having a really hard time deciding what to plant in the front yard but Andrew was a huge help. I told him we needed to find flowers and within 5 minutes he had picked out some pentas and marigolds and we were out the door! He helped me plant them in the yard and has been helping me water them too.
Andrew keeps us giggling around here. He still isn't talking much but what he does say is hilarious, I think I may need to change the name of this blog to "Stuff Andrew Says" when he really starts talking because I am sure I will want to share it all so I can look back in 15 years and giggle about it again!
The other day we were sitting on the porch eating popsicles and watching the rain.
Andrew looked over and said "Oh no, truck is all wet"
Me: "yeah Daddy's truck is all wet"
Andrew: "NO, it's ME truck"
Me: "That is your truck"
Andrew; "Yep, it's ME truck"
He also kept telling me there was a monkey in the tree out front. When I would look in the tree he would say "oh, he's hiding" and as soon as I would look away he would yell "LOOK, mokey!" and point to the tree again.
One of Andrew's favorite things to do is help. Here he is doing the dishes.
And washing HIS truck
Of course all this helping has it's perks too, Sunday he helped me frost a cake and got to lick the spatula.
Emily wasn't very helpful with the frosting, but she sure helped eat the cake. I think she is a chocolate fan, she screamed when the cake was gone.
We made a trip to the hardware store the other day. I love when these two sit in the cart together.
And Emily loves to give her brother a hard time (and he loves it too). You can hear her growling at him in this video :)
Yesterday we went to the playground. Emily Loved the swing! She giggled so much she was snorting. And Andrew has pretty much mastered everything but the monkey bars, He even scaled the 5+ year old equipment like a pro.
After the park we went and bought some plants, Andrew helped me push my cart and load up the plants and proudly announced to everyone, "I'm helping!". Then when we got home he helped me plant and Emily took an afternoon nap in the sun.
10 months already! This little girl has been growing like crazy. She crawls so fast and on both knees now. She pulls up and cruises along the couch. She drinks from sippy cups and eats like a champ. She has recently started growling like a lion, I think her brother taught her that. She smiles all the time and is just plain awesome.
