Bubble snakes

Yesterday I was the coolest mom ever (I like to think I always am but I don't think Andrew agrees).  We had been at the park last week and there were some kids playing with bubbles.  They had these things that made these huge bubble snakes, Andrew thought they were the greatest.  Yesterday, I figured out how to make one for Andrew, he was pretty impressed :)

"doughnut shops and ice cream shops"

Andrew made up this song in the car the other day about all the things he likes.

Here is the translation in case you didn't catch all of that :)
"I like trees and grass and trees and grass, doughnut shop and ice cream shop, movies! Dinner, dinner dinner dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner.
ME: you like dinner?
yep.  I like cars and driveways and roads.  I like grass and trees...and house and my house.
EMILY: whats that? whats that? whats that?
(telling Em about the knob on her car seat) It's the roller, it's how you make it tight.
EMILY: woah woah
It's big, turn it up, turn it up. I likes trees I like trees and grass leaves, ice cream shop and doughnuts and movies. I like driveways and roads and house! I like that song.
ME: you like that stuff
It's your turn to do it, it's your turn to do it."

I have been teaching the kids yoga, mostly because I think it is hilarious to see them do yoga moves.  Emily is not able to balance on one leg yet but she has figured out she can lean against something to help with her balance, check out her tree :)

The other day I asked them if the wanted to help me wash my car, they both enthusiasticly said YES! Then Andrew grabbed a sponge to wash with...

And Emily grabbed a lawn chair and sat and watched the whole time we washed the car.  She has some real management potential, she will be the boss one day.

But then again, she also likes to take her pants off when she wakes up and put them on her head, so who knows...

She is forward facing in her car seat now, I wasn't planning on turning her forward so soon, but she loves it so there is no going back now!

Andrew and I went on a date the other day.  We went to dinner, a movie and for ice cream.  possible the best date I ever had :)  We had a blast!

These kids LOVE to be outside, since the weather has been nice, we have been doing lots of picnics, playgrounds and playing in the driveway (or the cul-de-sac around the corner)

Banana pancakes and a house update

Yesterday Andrew asked if he could have banana pancakes for breakfast.  I told him "sure, if you help me make them"  Helping is his favorite, especially in the kitchen.
He cut the bananas.  He told me it was a "big job".

He also policed his sister and told her to "stay away from the stove or you'll get a boo boo!"

Andrew has been insisting they eat lunch on the porch, which has been nice since the weather is lovely.  I thionk you can tell from these pictures, Andrew is loud...always..and he moves A LOT!  When we go to the playground he is the loudest kid there, every time.  There can be 20 kids at the playground and you can hear Andrew over all of them.

There is stuff going on over at our new house!  They are getting the foundation ready and we have a well, there is an excavator out there which Andrew LOVES!

Here is our new house!! That big dark pile of dirt is the front porch, to the right is the garage and to the left is the guest room if you want to come visit :)

More horse farm

We went to the horse farm again on Saturday to feed the horses.  I think this may be our new favorite Saturday activity, especially while it is cooler out.

Emily LOVES to feed the horses.  She is fearless, I think she fed all of them...luckily we brought really huge bags of carrots.  She looks so teeny next to the big horses!

Andrew...he would rather just look...and eat.  He would hold grammas arm as she fed the horses but didn't actually feed any of them.
