"I fell down"

Andrew has been begging me to go to the park.  Every time we drive by a slide he points out the window and says "side, peas" (slide, please). So yesterday I promised him after his nap we would go to the park.  He woke up from his nap saying "woohoo side!"  so we headed to the park.  He had a blast running and climbing and sliding, he even made some friends.  Emily got to swing a bit.

Then he got on the merry-go-round.  He was doing exactly what I told him and sitting close to the middle.  But I guess his shorts were too slippery because when the little girl pushing started going fast he slipped right off the edge...head first.  And of course he fell right in the one spot where the rubber mat had a hole in it, so face first into the concrete.

He screamed for a minute but then went right back to the slides, he is such a tough little dude.  While he was playing he kept giggling and saying "I fell down".

Happy bath time baby!

Emily had some beans the other night, She finished a giant bowl and then yelled for seconds, for being such a tiny little thing, the girl can eat!

And after the beans, she got a bath.  Have you noticed that until today there has not been a single photo of Emily at bath time?  That's because she hated it, screamed as loud as she could and tried to climb out of the tub.  She was like a cat in the water.  Then the other night she had a breakthrough, I got in the tub with her and after about 30 min of screaming, she stuck her little hand out and splashed the water, she realized it's not so bad.  She even sat in the tub and played with toys for about 15 minutes!  It is probably the best thing that has happened in our house in a while, no more fighting Emily in the tub!  Look she is even smiling!

Emily is on the move!

Emily has been army crawling for about 3 weeks now, here is a video from a few weeks ago when she was just starting to move.

And now she is getting up on her knees! She does this cute combination of bunny hopping, crawling on one foot and one knee, and army crawling.

I think she is pretty proud of herself!

Happy 8 months Emily!

Emily is 8 months old today!  Can you believe it? I can't.

She is so incredible awesome.  Always giggling and smiling.  She babbles, says "mama" "dada" and "baba", she gives high fives (that is new as of last month really), and she can army crawl like none other.  Her brother hates that she is crawling now, she gets into all his stuff and LOVES tearing apart his favorite train tracks.

Also, Andrew had a dr appointment this morning.  They checked his blood and he is no longer anemic, which means no m,ore yucky iron supplement.  My big boy was 32 pounds this morning!

A new tooth!

Emily is sporting a shiny new tooth!  And I think she is already working on a second one.

She has been sitting in the high chair lately and working on feeding herself.  I love her serious, concentrated face while she eats :)

Andrew thinks he gets some of all her snacks, see his little hand in the corner.

Andrew helped her drink her bottle the other day.

And this boy is unofficially potty trained!  He has not peed in a diaper or had an accident in 2 days!  He still wears diapers at night and when we leave the house but he hasn't been going in them.

We started a new reward system, he has a sticker chart in the bathroom and gets to put a sticker on it every time he uses the potty and then gets a hot wheels car when he gets enough stickers.  I think the cars were the motivation he needed!

Some more pictures of baby Em sitting.  This shirt and the dress she was wearing in the pictures yesterday were mine when I was a baby.  They are also both size 0-3 months, she is such a peanut!

Growing fast

Check out Andrew's new underwear! He woke up with dry pants and has peed in the potty all morning!  We got him these new underwear while we were out (he didn't even pee in his diaper while we were out, I am so proud).

And Emily is growing too fast too!  She has been sitting well for about a month now, but still falling over sometimes.  But no more falling anymore!  She is a pro!  And who wouldn't love this smile?

Andrew is the sweetest, he sat down to love on his sister a bit.
